Wool: Clean Air Certified™

Wool: Clean Air Certified™ is an Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) programme managed by Wools of New Zealand. To qualify for certification, carpets and rugs must pass scientifically established testing standards which are conducted by an accredited independent laboratory.

In addition to meeting the most stringent criteria for very low VOC (gas offsetting) emissions, Wool: Clean Air Certified™ carpets and rugs must pass a formaldehyde absorption test that demonstrates wool’s proven ability to improve indoor air quality.

Wool: Clean Air Certified™ is offered only in North America but plans are underway to expand this into other markets.
